Situation: Windows server is running on VM, both instructor and students are connecting using RDP
Both instructor and student connect to the server. When instructor clicks on "Take control" button on student's screen, window with student's screen opens. Unfortunately cursor is jumping close to shared screen borders. Do you have any idea what could cause this issue? Everything else is working fine.
Thanks

Hello to everybody.
So I recently installed Microsoft Windows Server 2016 on my server PC. I am trying to connect few Atrust M320. But everytime I want to open LAN Stations and search for new stations, MultiPoint Manager crashes (WmsManager has stopped working). From here I don't know anything else to do, I didn't find any solutions for my problem.
So any help would be much appreciated.
Our district has many multipoint 2016 machines and they all fail at limiting the web using the multipoint dashboard. Other functions like the screen blocking work just fine.
Both IE 11 and Chrome have the same result. Help! We used to use lanschool but they no longer support server 2016...
I have problem use Multipoint on windows server 2016
Now user can remote to server. But i can't see all user because Multipoint is error.
Error alert message "theMultipoint service is not responding on this machine. To fix the issue try restarting the machine."
and event view alert message
"
Faulting application name: WmsDashboard.exe, version: 10.0.14393.1532, time stamp: 0x5965a008"

Is there any renewal entitlement for a Nonprofit/Charity customer with active Software Assurance on Windows Multipoint Server Premium ? The part# was removed from the price list as of February 2017 for Government and Nonprofit (now only available for Academic). I can't find any reference to this in any of the Product Terms or Price List Guides from that time period, nor from October 2016 or any other time. Tried looking everywhere!
I am using two Multipoint 2016 servers with 10 Zero clients connected over ethernet. Each zero client is logged in with a different (but identically configured) user name. Each user is set up with 5 printers that are all installed on my domain server. Starting about a month ago, randomly one or two of the 5 printers will disappear for one of the users. I can go into the printers/devices and add the printer back in with no problem. This problem occurs on zero clients connected to both of the Multipoint servers. While some zero clients seem to have this problem more than others, it may just be that those are the ones that are used more, or the ones where people are trying to print more. It is always one or two (or maybe 3?) printers - never all 5. And the problem will occur for one zeroclient/user and not another. How do I start to troubleshoot this?
Thanks!

Hi All,
I have installed on Windows Server 2016 with MultiPoint role on server (dual E5-2620v4. 48GB RAM, 4x1TB RAID 10) with 24 zero clients based on SMSC UFX6000 (Centerm C75v2, but the same chip have Atrust M321).
Problem is when users wants to log on zero clients. Sometimes it tooks very long time to log on, on zero clients there is info like this:
https://rlevchenko.files.wordpress.com/2015/11/multipoint_services_windows_server_2016_9_thumb.jpg?w=644&h=164
but it is counting not in seconds but in minutes. Sometimes, it takes around 15 minutes to log in.
Do you have any idea what is wrong?
Best regards
Kamil
I have been using MPS2011 for some time and have sometimes had the issue where it just logs into the SRCshell account spanned over all the monitors. To fix this I used to go into the user settings and set it back to requiring Ctrl-Alt-Del at logon then switch it to normal mode in MPS manager.
Unfortunately MPS2012 seems to be way more unreliable and this fix no longer works so every two weeks I seem to have to reinstall the piece of junk again. I have looked through the event logs which reveal nothing about MPS and have tried the log collector which is really good at generating a whole stack of content but no good at pointing out what might be a problem. Is there anyone at Microsoft that knows how this stuff works and could point me in the right direction as the next reinstall is back to 2011 and will signal my giving up on the platform.
The machine in question has six locally connected monitors and works great for about two weeks before if drops out to WMSShell never to return to Normal mode.
Using MPS 2012 it installed some updates last night and now it's stuck in single user maintenance mode, i've gone to MPS Manager and tried to switch to workstations, but it reboots back into the same mode. It also auto logs in as "WmsShell"
Any ideas on getting back to where I should be? Thanks!
I realize MP2016 is a role in Server 2016, however, VLSC and MSDN now show a "MultiPoint 2016 Premium" standalone product.
I can find absolutely nothing about it. Does anyone know the difference?
Hi all,
I hope you might be able to help with this. A client of ours wants windows multipoint server to handle drive letter assignment differently.
Currently when using multipoint in a multiuser environment, a usb stick plugged in to one LG netwrok monitor is assigned a drive letter and is visible on all the other network monitors. The device cannot be accessed however from any station other than the one it is plugged in to, instead desiplaying an access is denied message.
Our client would like the USB drive to be completely invisible to the other network monitors, so they son't know it has even been plugged in, however completely functional for the user who plugged it in to his network monitor.
Is this even possible? Is there a registry setting or some other setting somewhere that controls this behaviour? If not is there any other way of achieving this?
Any help you can offer me with this would be gratefully received.
Kindest regards,
Van.
Hi,
i have 3 Windows server 2016 datacenter with Multipoint-role installed. Some of my dell wyse zero clients getting an ip, and looking for a assigned host, when i assign them to one of my servers the screen said no signal and is not getting any video output.
If i unassign the client i get the message looking for assigned host. So the vga port is working but something is wrong when assigning to the multipoint server.
any idea what could cause this issue?
I use dell wyse E02 zero clients over our Lan.
I have installed the latest firmware on all the clients. (some working well)
thanks.
