Cannot create virtual desktop from template. Error message "An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format"
Good morning everyone, I have run into a particular issue when attempting to connect several Wyse zero point clients to a computer running Multipoint Server 2012. I have no trouble creating a virtual desktop template while in station mode, but I get an error message when actually attempting to create the virtual desktop for the zero client to connect to.
The error message is as follows:
"An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format."
When I go into the event logs, I receive the message during the time when trying to create the virtual desktop:
"The IO operation at logical block address 0x800 for Disk 1 was retried."
Im really at a brick wall here and not sure what to do next, if anyone could help me it would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time!

MultiPoint Server 2012 - Virtual Desktops unable to connect
Greetings everyone,
I've installed and updated MultiPoint Server 2012 on an HP ms6200, created a virtual desktop template, customized it, syspreped it, and created virtual desktop stations from that. The task completed successfully but my t200s and console stations cannot connect to the virtual desktop. The error I get is this:
Error Code: 0x803381B9
Error message: "Connecting to remote server ms6200-5-[insertdigithere].[domain].org failed with the following message: The Win RM client cannot process the request because the server name cannot be resolved. For more information see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.
Error details: Make sure the computer is online, and then click Reconnect task. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.
It seems like a DNS error, I can see most of the machines in my DNS management console. If I ping from the ms6200 to the ms6200 I get an IPv6 address, not expected. If I ping the DNS server I get an IPv4 address. I tried disabling IPv6 to no avail. The only other thing I can think of is this machine only has one NIC. Do I need two for MultiPoint Server to run properly with Virtual Desktops?

Cant get virtual desktop to start
Using Windows MultiPoint Server 2012, and successfully managed to create a virtual desktop. Now when I try to start it up, I get a message saying "Waiting for [virtual desktop name] to start", and it just hangs with the timer still running, no matter how long. Then when I go to the "Home" tab, I can see the virtual desktop in question, with a yellow triangle next to it.
The error code: 0x803381B9
Description reads: "The winrm client cannot process the request because the server name cannot be resolved"
From what Ive researched, it might have something to do with my DNS settings? Im hoping someone more experienced can chime in here. Thank you in advance for anyone who can!

Printer doesn't work when connected to station MPS 2012
Hello. I have a fresh install of MPS 2012 on an Optiplex 3020. I'm setting up a Wyse E03 zero client with a handheld scanner & a Zebra gk420d label printer. I've installed all of the drivers on the server & the zero client (attached through a network switch) connects fine. When I connect the printer it shows up & says that it's ready, but it won't print. I also see an unidentified device with the same name as the printer that shows it is (redirected), this device has a driver error.
If I connect the printer directly to the server it works fine.
I've also noticed that when I connect a usb flash drive to the zero client it doesn't show up at all.
I'm guessing it's something simple in my configuration, but this is all new to me & I'm stumped at this point.

MPS 2012 Stuck in Console Mode
I have been using MPS2011 for some time and have sometimes had the issue where it just logs into the SRCshell account spanned over all the monitors. To fix this I used to go into the user settings and set it back to requiring Ctrl-Alt-Del at logon then switch it to normal mode in MPS manager.
Unfortunately MPS2012 seems to be way more unreliable and this fix no longer works so every two weeks I seem to have to reinstall the piece of junk again. I have looked through the event logs which reveal nothing about MPS and have tried the log collector which is really good at generating a whole stack of content but no good at pointing out what might be a problem. Is there anyone at Microsoft that knows how this stuff works and could point me in the right direction as the next reinstall is back to 2011 and will signal my giving up on the platform.
The machine in question has six locally connected monitors and works great for about two weeks before if drops out to WMSShell never to return to Normal mode.

Windows Multipoint Disk Management and User Data Migration
Hi!
We have recently bought a license and CALS for the WMS Standard 2012. For my hardware though, I have an SSD on which the server is installed. I have a SATA HDD that I want to store user data on. When I create users in WMS Manager, the data folders get created in the SSD. Is it possible to instruct WMS to create user profiles in the SATA HDD directly? Is there a way to migrate the user profiles if this is not possible?

Dashboard freeze when trying to share own desktop
Hey Guys,
i got a big problem and do not have any further ideas how to solve it. You are my last opinion.
My configuration:
- Windows Multipoint Server 2012 (all Updates installed) (Premium)
- Hardware: Wortmann Terra Server System (enough power and RAM)
- 20 Zero Clients, connected via LAN
- All Driver are the newest
- Server joined into WIN2012 Domain
Everthing works fine, just one Task fails again and again: Everytime when i try to share my screen to some (or to all) clients via the dashboard, dashboard freezes and i can just close it by using the task manager. Nothing happens on the clients or something. There are no entries in the logfiles (windows events or ZeroClients).
Has anyone similar problems or just an idea what i can change to get this functionality? All other functions are working without any issues on the Server... Even to share any of the clients desktop to others...

Multipoint 2012 Install
I'm new to multipoint server and trying to set up 2012 with 5 Dell zero clients over ethernet, the install goes correctly but then the server restarts and displays
"Create a Multipoint Server Station, Press B", I can't seem to cancel this screen or get past it and I need to install the roll up patch and drivers for the zero clients before "creating the multipoint server station"
Any advice would be appreciated.

Keyboards not working on all stations
Hi there,
we use a Multipoint Server 2012 with 20 LAN-Clients. All works fine since we had installed about 130 Windows Updates last Monday.
Now just the keyboard which is directly via usb hub connected to the server works, but any keyboard connected to the stations aren't working anymore...
Has anyone else a idea what to do in such a case?

Printer Drivers for Windows Multipoint 2012
Hi,
Most printer manufacturers dont have separate drivers for Windows Multipoint. Any suggestions on what printer drivers (i.e. for which OS) could be compatible with WMS 2012? I've tried installing drivers compatible with Windows 8 (64 bit) and for Server 2003. Neither worked (I knew Server 2003 drivers wouldn't work, I was just pushing my luck).
My printers: HP Laserjet 1020 Plus and Canon Image Class MF4320d)

Allow non-admin user to eject usb
Hi everyone,
I'm new with multipoint server and I'm trying to allow my users connected via direct video-connected station, to safely remove usb flash drives. I modified the values in the Local group policy to allow Administrators and Interactive Users to eject and format removable media. However the user is always prompted to type in Admin password in order to safely eject.
