WMS 2012 and Scanners???

Given that WMS is essentially poised to act as a multi-station Windows desktop replacement, has anyone successfully gotten network scanners to work with it, especially something in the <$350 All-in-One Small Business oriented category?

The only information I found on this so far was this link for WMS 2011 which suggested buying a $383.00 license from Remote-scan.com which seems rather ludicrous given that we can easily buy network ready All-in-Ones for Win7/8 for less than that.

The alternative so far seems to perhaps roll out Win7/8 virtual machines and use one the <$350 All-in-One devices with them, but so far I don't otherwise have a need to use VM's in the environments I am doing my active testing in.

As well, there are some significant disadvantages to this approach:

1) AD, which enables the extra benefits of VM-based templates, in my testing to dates seems to be disabled in WMS 2012

@) VMs looped back to zero clients have to be assigned to specific Zero or Thin Clients which disables the rather useful ability for users to hot seat from one location to another and resume their suspended sessions.

 I've initall windows multilpoint 2012, so i wana creat an desktop virtual, and i dont no, does WMS 2012 support win 7,8 utimated, pro or only Enterprise?? so i cant make it with win 7, or 8 untilated or pro?? Thanks!

KMS -key management service in wms 2012 premium

sir,

I Purchased windows multipoint server 2012 premium licenced  operating system(1- server cal) and four device CAL's.

I am provided with both KMS and MAK keys.

I activated wms 2012 with MAK key , the total number of activations or seats is 45.

How can I use KMS KEY?  please guide in such a way that I can utilise the KMS key?

MPS operator group-how do I join?

I cannot access the "dashboard" feature of 2012 MPS because it says I need to be a member of the MPS operator group. OK, How do I become a member of this group ? I purchased a full version of 2012 multipoint server -premium.

Is there any roadmap for the release of HP t200 zero client drivers for WMS 2012? I found some drivers for the WMS 2012 beta, but for the RTM version they do not work properly.

No Prompt for Product Key in WMS 2012 Prem Installation

We've bought the license for WMS 2012 Prem.  However, both the ISOs downloaded from VLSC and Evaluation Version on the public DO NOT PROMPT for Product Key, and just keep on giving the error "The product key entered does not match any of the Windows images available for installation.  Enter a different product key."

Urgent, please help.....

Multipoint server 2012 + HP T200 zero thin clients - login issues

Hi guys,

I have installed Windows Multipoint server 2012 Premium on HP workstation. Terminals are HP T200 Zero clients. All terminals are connected via LAN (not USB).

Things, I already do:

Make a fresh installation of WMS2012

Install RollUP update

Install thin clients drivers

Install all updates through Windows Update..

My issue - when assign 1 client to host, everything works fine.  But when assign 2 or more T200 clients, there is a message on the terminal monitors: Waiting for Remote Desktop services... and nothing happens..

I try to set IP to each T200, to let the MP manager to set IP's to each station by itself, but nothing...

Does anybody have same or similar issue?

WMPS2012  PREMIUM

Stuck on "The station is attempting to connect to localhost" on 8 of 20 dell Wyse stations. The severs are centrally managed and everything is configured the same.  The first ten or so have no complications, I assign five clients per one server. I have four servers. 2 of the servers have this issue.

Hai I'm vimal i have a core i5 and 8gb config server running windows multi point server 2011. 5 zero clients are connected to server. Audio works in zero client but not working in server end at normal mode. But audio is working in server at console mode only. Need solutions very badly ,

Hi, we are running Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 on 4 Dell 9010 machines and 45 Wyse E02 clients connected by 4 switches. Every week we got 2 or 3 random BSoD for all servers at the same time. Memory dump for server 2,3,4 show that the exception is from NUServer64.sys.

Please check below for the system event logs and memory dump analysis output.  Any help would be appreciated!

Windows Multipoint Server Dashboard Missing

Hello,

I have a server running Multipoint 2011 and all of a sudden the Multipoint Management Dashboard has disappeared from it.

I have checked the AV quarantine and logs as well as attempted to run System File Checker in hopes it will return this extremely useful app but it didnt.

Could somebody please advise me how to get this back as this is the only way our librarian is able to monitor the thin client desktops.

i have install multipoint sever 2012 premium on dell t110 server  having 16gb ram after installation when i install videoand restart it it just goes to multipoint manger and blue screen saying press b for remote station .

1- i have m300 ncomputing devices running on Ethernet .

2- i press b on the client ncompution no effect can i by pass this to multipoint manager .??

3- and secondly i want to use virtual desktop on my server .

4- before installing the graphic drivers ncomputing internal were running remote desktop services

I have installed Microsoft multipoint premium server 2012 on hp 3330 mt desktop pc.i have installed graphic driver of windows 8 64-bit,it detects but now I have issue with usb connectivity of keyboard, mouse etc, when I am using ps2 keyboard and mouse its working fine but usb is not working, then I uninstalled graphic driver again this time after uninstalling usb is supporting.so kindly please provide me support for this issue regarding graphics driver and usb connectivity????

Portrait orientation for monitors in WMS setup

I was wondering if anyone has had any success in setting up a WMS system that allows users to have portrait orientation monitors. I am specifically curious about using LAN-based stations for this, but would be interested to hear of any setups that you may have that support this (or know whether or not it can be done).

Looking for troubleshooting resources regarding web limiting

We deployed WMS 2012 to an after school youth program and adding the public school district's online grade system website has failed to work. At another nonprofit using WMS2010 - the site has worked without error since deployment (only on IE since web). 

When a standard user navigates to the site - they see nothing but a white screen. The usual message that is seen when going to a site that is not on the allowed list is not visible. Since the web limiting has now expanded in WMS2012 to include other browsers - I am willing to try another browser but I don't see IE as the culprit. 

I have searched and searched the internet for troubleshooting resources for WMS2012 and have come up empty. I even had to make my own guide for staff to use as admin. There are plenty of hardware troubleshooting resources but there aren't many for software related issues. 

The grade system used by the school district is Pinnacle Gradebook made by Scantron. I was hoping another school user on the forum might have some insight on why this site will not work on 2012 but worked on 2010.
