In my Multipoint Server 2011 Academic versions (joined to a domain), the Multipoint Manager application takes over 5 minutes to load after an administrator logs on at startup. Subsequent logons let MM run within a minute. I have this problem in all 6 of my servers, built from different images.
Is this normal, and can anyone offer suggestions to shorten load time?
I have a device connected to Zero Client via Bluetooth/USB and the software running in Windows Multipoint Server. My questions are as follows..
1) Accessing devices from software is as normal as it is running in stand alone system?
2) Does port id changes for different devices connected to different zero clients?
3) Any special programming has to be done targeting Multipoint server

Hello - I have dowloaded the Server 2012 Evaluation iso. I am installing it on a VMWare Player VM. At the beginning of the installation, I receive the following error; "Windows cannot find the Microsoft Software License Terms. Make sure the installation sources are valid and restart the installation" I did not use a Product Key during the creation of the VM. I have tried 2 additional iso images I downloaded from Technet but I get the same error. Also, how would I get a Product Key for thei Trial Version to add to my VM deployment. I have had a long standing issue of choppy audio playback with the pepper flash plugin in Chrome. I have been able to work around this issue by disabling pepper flash in my master_preferences file and distributing the normal plugin version of Flash Player. Today I was made aware that youtube videos that use the new html5 player also exhibit this behavior. I have been able to replicate the choppy audio w/ html5 on several multipoint boxes in normal mode, in maintenance mode the issue is not present.
So my question would be are other people seeing this behavior with pepper flash or html5?

Stuck on "The station is attempting to connect to localhost" on 8 of 20 dell Wyse stations. The severs are centrally managed and everything is configured the same. The first ten or so have no complications, I assign five clients per one server. I have four servers. 2 of the servers have this issue.

Hi, we are running Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 on 4 Dell 9010 machines and 45 Wyse E02 clients connected by 4 switches. Every week we got 2 or 3 random BSoD for all servers at the same time. Memory dump for server 2,3,4 show that the exception is from NUServer64.sys.
Please check below for the system event logs and memory dump analysis output. Any help would be appreciated!

I am looking to utilize Windows Multipoint Server 2012 to run digital signage. Each digital signage display will be a single monitor connected to a Dell Wyse E02 (or similar) USBoE zero client. Each zero client station will be assigned to auto-login to a single Windows 7/8 Enterprise VM desktop hosted within WMPS 2012 (20 VMs total running within WMPS 2012 Hyper-V Manager). There will be no user interaction from the Windows 7/8 desktop after initial configuration. The content displayed on each of the VM's is pushed to the VM from a separate standalone Windows 7 box. Each zero client will be auto-logging in to its assigned VM using the same single domain-user credentials.
What licensing do I need? I know I need (1) WMPS 2012 Premium Server license, but according to MS website:
"In the case where MultiPoint Server is being used to manage Windows 7 or Windows 8 PCs only a Windows Server CAL is required, not a Windows MultiPoint Server CAL. The Windows MultiPoint Server CAL is only required when accessing a Windows Multipoint Server desktop."
I don't know if that applies to virtual desktops as well. Regardless, I would still need 20 Windows 7/8 Enterprise licenses, I assume. Additionally, since each zero-client is auto-logging in using the same Windows domain-user account, wouldn't a single Windows Server User CAL suffice?

YouTube and other video sites, as well as many other web pages, display with a large white blank area above the content, requiring you to scroll down to see the actual web page. All sites displayed properly before the IE10 upgrade from IE9.
This has happened on two different Multipoint servers. I've also had problems with the Office 365 login page displaying "zoomed in" on the graphic.
Suggestions, besides rolling back to IE9?

I would like to configure a terminal solution (based on Multipoint 2012) on which 12 users will work in VDI mode. (this means every user will have his own virtual machine). According the RemoteFX documentation an ati FIREPRO card is recomended which makes the solution quite expensive. I would like to know if it is possible to put much cheaper graphic card and what will be the performance in this case. The graphic card which i have in mind is:
Gigabity nVidia GT640 2GB
Is it possible to support 12 users with this video card? What will be the performance according to you?
I would like to be able to play on 6 of 12 users video with 720p quality simultaneously.

Hyper-v virtualization platform). I would like to know is it possible to achieve that with the well known zero clients from
Atrust m320, HPT200? According the hardware requirements the RemoteFX feature is needed in order to achieve good video
performance but those zero clients as far as i know don't support RemoteFX. Is it possible to run VMs in Multipoint 2012 with
zero clients which don't support remotefx.

We have an application where we would like multiple remote students to be able to connect to Win7 desktops running within Hyper-V sessions on WMS via the Internet using RDP over HTTPS. Is this something that WMS 2012 supports as a standard feature (e.g. by simply enabling a web gateway and pointing all inbound HTTPS/Port 443 traffic from the firewall to it) or would this feature require the installation of additional equipment/software ?
If this is possible, the other question is whether any additional licensing is required other than just the standard server CAL + WMS CAL per student ? i.e. as there is remote access to VMs taking place is there any VDA licensing required, or is that already covered within the server CALs and WMS CALs ?
The application is the training of students that are located remote to our company training facility. The other issue in terms of licensing is that the students would be a mix of company employees, partners, and end-users. Not sure if this has any impact on the server CALs and WMS CALs ?

zero clients (Atrust m320, HP T200) which don't support Remotefx.
I am familiar with Windows Server 2012 and Remotefx but as far as i know the multipoint zero clients, support
USB over LAN and not RDP.
Any ideas?

anyone have a solution to enable num lock on multipoint server ? I've change registry value (initialkeyboardindicator in H_Key_User), and the num lock is activated at the beginning, but when the server detect station and load the identification page, num lock turn off.
Do you have a solution to fix this bug ?
