Disable a process for certain users

Hi -

My org is using MPS 2012. I have installed QuickBooks (QB) for those users that use that application. However, QB uses an automatic update function that ALL of my MPS users are running as a process. And while I can go to Task Manager and manually kill their use of the process - is there a way that I can make it so that they do not run it at all?
