Strange issue on this one, hoping someone has an idea. I have one workstation running Multipoint Server 2012 Premium (teacher's station) connected to 18 other workstations (student stations) with two directly connected monitors each (USB hubs used). I was able to get good connections from the teacher's station to the student stations through the Multipoint Manager. All workstations are joined to our domain.
If I log in to the teacher's station as the domain admin, I can open Dashboard and everything works beautifully. If I instead log in as the teacher (who, in the process of troubleshooting, I have made a local admin on the machine), Dashboard will not even start...I get a crash notification immediately. I'm seeing Error 1026 in the Event Log for the .NET framework (System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException) as well as several Error 1000 Application Errors for WmsDashboard.exe, with the faulting module name KERNELBASE.dll (in the Windows/System32 directory).
I did clean installs on all machines (they previously ran WMS 2011), though I'm wondering if there is a legacy setting travelling around in the teacher's AppData folder or similar that would be trying to apply 2011 settings to 2012. Or perhaps there is a folder that should have been created that hasn't been (reaching there...just going based on the DirectoryNotFoundException). I have set permissions on the Program Files/Windows Multipoint Server folder (and subs) to make sure that the teacher's account has Full Control.
At a loss right now...it works unbelievably well for the domain admin account, but obviously don't want to give the teacher that login info! Anyone have any ideas?
