Station mode not working anymore

I'm not sure what prompted this, but I can't seem to get Station Mode in WMS 2012 to work properly anymore.  I have a server with only 1 local USB station, but I also have Hyper-V enabled on it for the VDI functionality.  Whenever I try to (re)boot into Station Mode, the direct-connect video shows that it's waiting for Hyper-V Virtual Machine Manager, and just sits there counting up.  It never gets past that unless I hit escape to go into Console Mode.  I can wait even 10 minutes and the counter keeps counting away.  I know that Hyper-V is running because I can go into Hyper-V Manager in Console Mode immediately, and it doesn't say that the service isn't running or give any other errors.  Server Manager confirms that Hyper-V is running properly too.

I don't usually use Station Mode (even though Console Mode Only isn't checked in the Multipoint settings), but it seems that the option to create a virtual station from a VM in the VDI options isn't available in Console Mode.

Also, on another installation, I had VDI working fine.  However, it was always default to log in to a VM on the first (and only) USB station.  To avoid this, I could hit ESC and go into Console Mode, but I DON'T WANT TO - because it disables all of the other stations.  Is there a way to skip the VM login and just log into the server without having to use Console Mode?  Is it that it's not possible to use station mode at the same time as having VDI enabled, or am I missing something?
